Randolf and Isabella again. They were more commonly called Andy and Iz, however.
Claire's grandparents. Randolf is very unfortunately deceased. Making Isabella the widow. They married in 1933 and barely managed their 50th anniversary in 1983 before he died. Claire actually wrote about it in her diary. (Look in her August of 1983 entries.) This was before Andy and Iz married, somewhere around 1930/1931. Clearly, I have narrowed it down. I think the most inspiring and touching part of the piece is that Randolf's eye is open-- yet hers are closed. The expression gives it a close, intimate feel-- and can I mention how much I love Isabella's eyeshadow? :3
