I want to make sure that everyone knows what I'm up to, and that I've not really abandoned dA.
I use my tumblr to update about where I am, creatively. Unsurprisingly, my username is hilarity: [link]
dA as a site causes me some slight problems (viruses on my PC and too-slow-loading on my Mac), which means tumblr is a quick and dirty way for me to show progress. Doesn't mean I won't upload finished projects here, but you'll see more there.
I'm working on the first novel that I intend to do something with (edit it, first of all, and query it, second of all). Yes, it's about Iz. Yes, it takes place in the 1920s. Yes, it's on a circus (her dear, precious Brooks Spectacular with all the people you may know and love and quite a lot more, too). Chronologically, Dans la Lune comes right after it (although Dans la Lune will be totally rewritten). I hope to turn every generation into novels, and to do something with Lavender Diary down the line, as well.
The novel is the focus of my upcoming BFA show. It's my senior year at Cornish, so I'm a busy bee. I'll be doing posters, character/set/costume/prop/environment design, in addition to finishing the manuscript and editing it to the best of my abilities. So yes, as I just said, busy bee. If you want to follow along, my tumblr is the place to do it (again, my username there is hilarity).
I want to thank everyone, here and across the internet, who participated in the fundraiser. I won't be doing any more right now, but I may in the future. My dad is not much different than he was in May, and deals with life-threatening infections quite a lot, so our situation is pretty much the same, and just as emotionally draining. We'd hoped he'd have pulled through a little more by now, as we approach a year (end of November), but a traumatic brain injury is not like a broken bone. It never really does get better.
